Watercolor

The painting I have choosen for PPF is part of a collage I have been working on and put it aside to work on something else.  I am unsure what to do with this painting.  It is on watercolor paper and has been cut apart as I did not like part of the collage.  I fear this will be put away for a second time and not seen for months!  Join all the artists that have submitted paintings for today.   What fun!

My Granddaughter, Valarie

Thank you for all the prayers for Valarie.  She is out of surgery and they were able to remove the gall bladder laparscopicly.  She requires more surgery on Monday, but it will be another laparotomy.  This is an answer to our prayers.   My spell check says I can't spell, but doesn't have any correction.

Paint Party Friday

Add caption
I have chosen for the 4th week of PPF to add the letters I have painted for certain members of my family and will use on a card, collage, or who-knows-what?  Now it won't be a surprise, but who can keep a secret for very long?  Not me!
Please say a prayer for my beautiful granddaughter as she has surgery this morning.  She has a handsome husband and two beautiful sons who need their mother to be home and healthy as soon as possible.

FOR THE BIRDS

Paint Party Friday, another week, where does the time go?  I suppose the time flies because this is such a beautiful season, especially this year as everything is early here in Missouri.  This pic is a watercolor done on watercolor paper, my favorite thing to paint.  Have a wonderful Friday and week-end.  Check all the other fab entries for PPF!

Rose Tutorial and Pattern

This is the design for the tutorial if you are interested in using it for a card.  Right click on design to print and adjust to desired size.  Transfer roses to paper.  Use a permanent ink pen to outline design on paper of choice(cardstock or watercolor paper).  I painted with acrylic Americana Paint. I used a no.6 angle brush.   Roses are painted with a double-load of Deep Burgandy on the short end of brush and Cad Yellow on the long end of brush.  Blend brush on palette and paint roses and bud.  Paint leaves Celery Green and shade base of each leaf with Midnite Green.  Midnite Blue paint is thinned and background is painted, giving the card a watercolor affect.  I had mentioned a video in a previous post, but the quality of pictures were not suitable.  I am very disappointed.  I need a new video cameria, but not practical at this time.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY

This is my selection for this week, it is so much fun to be a part of PPF!  I enjoy making greeting cards and am making a video to share with everyone my method of painting flowers or anything(please suggest "subjects of interest" and I will try to comply.)  I will have a pattern for use, but I suggest making your own designs.  There is no charge, it is just for fun!  Free tutorial!  Free!

Paint Party Friday

Collage on tray, mixed media-papers, lace, buttons, scrabble tiles, paint...  I did this collage several years ago, I have improved in backgrounds and layers, but still like the simplicity.

PAINT PARTY FRIDAY

This is a watercolor I painted using watercolor pencils.  I enjoyed the process, adding numerous colors to the flower.  In fact I enjoyed it so much I painted the same design in several different colors.  I have a pink, a white and a yellow flower, also.  I hope you enjoy my submission to PPF.

Watercolor Poppies

Watercolor Poppies
I have been working on this painting all week, after painting I decided to make it a collage.  It seems I just can't stop, just keep adding elements and having a barrel of fun!  I used watercolor paint instead of pencils.  I like the pencils, but the wc paint has more vibrance.  I used acrylic paint for the swirls and leaves.  I used wc paint to stamp the designs in the upper left corner.  I added the words using perm ink pen.  What do you think of my collage?

I used orange and yellow, as I did in the painting in the last post.  I  seem to be stuck in a rut.  I do love color.

Surprise! Suprise! Back again.

I have had a busy summer, what with having our home for sale and trying to stage it.  We haven't sold, but  will continue to try.  Apparently I haven't done enough staging, so will continue watching DIY for ideas.

Here is a painting I did a year ago and now it is that time again.  Hope you like it.
I have discontinued my painting classes,  too much of my time was spent preparing for classes.  Now I am painting however and whatever I want.  Sometimes we have to have our time, but I miss my students.
